Trip to the Farm

A trip to the farm is a balance of work and play. Chores like feeding animals and tending projects bring a sense of purpose, while laughter and exploration make the day fun. It’s a place where hard work and simple joys come together.

Eldie's Excellent Visit to the Farm

PLAYHOUSE

Our two-year-old grandson Eldie brings the playhouse to life with his imagination. Today, he’s busy in the little kitchen, carefully “cooking” on the stove. With all the seriousness of a true baker, he places pretend cookies into a pan, slides them onto the stove, and then proudly transfers them onto a tray—ready to serve. It’s a sweet reminder that even the smallest hands can create the biggest joy on the farm.

The First Egg

Pure excitement lit up Eldie’s face as he peeked into the chicken coop and spotted his very first egg. Nestled within the warm straw, the egg was guarded by a watchful hen, still perched protectively in her nesting box. With wide eyes and a smile that couldn’t be contained, Eldie reached in carefully, discovering the simple wonder of farm life. It was a moment of pride, joy, and discovery—one that perfectly captures the magic of growing up on the farm.

The Chicken Dance

In the middle of the farmyard, Eldie quickly becomes part of the flock. With a burst of energy, he darts after the hens, his laughter mixing with their flapping wings. Spotting one nearby, he plants his feet, locks his eyes, and gives his best little “stare down,” as if to prove he belongs among them. For a moment, boy and bird stand eye to eye—Eldie full of wonder, the hen full of caution—capturing the playful spirit of life on the farm.
